Let’s Go Together

Let’s go together
when the winds howl,
the snows swirl,
the spirits quiet down,
the angry,
dark voices of the world
become silent,
and hatred hibernates
in men’s square-minded thoughts.

Let’s go together,
when the ghosts of evil
and the restless demons in us
relieve their anger,
when the anguished souls
wash away
the guilt of greed,
and the madness of life.

Let’s go together,
again to common sense,
at least once in time,
when money and color,
power and prestige,
are not the issue,
but love, and sharing,
kindness and compassion…

Let’s go together,
to the beginning of times,
the embrace of friendship,
the gentle smile,
the children’s charm,
and the forgotten kindness of love
and respect for each other.
